Our approach

eNihongo’s learning design rests on a few consistent principles. Here is the educational stance at its root.

  1. Learn Japanese in Japanese

We value learning through Japanese itself rather than leaning on translation. Grasping meaning "in Japanese, as Japanese" is, we believe, the foundation of usable ability.

  2. Make "learn" and "use" one loop

Learn, practise, speak, review, improve. Keeping that loop turning is, we believe, the shortest path from studied Japanese to Japanese you can actually use.

  3. Not from zero — from what you still remember

Anyone who once studied remembers more than they think. Rather than mourn what was forgotten, we design learning that restarts from what remains.

  4. Human guidance with AI practice

People handle design and guidance; AI supports the repetition. Splitting the roles makes learning that fits each person sustainable to keep up.

  5. Learner at the centre

Pace and goals differ from person to person. Rather than impose a fixed order, we build learning from where each learner stands.

These principles carry through to every learning service that eNihongo supports.
